Restricted Access Steel Beam Installation in London

Quite a challenging steel installation lift this week for Ramiz at RK Builders, with a typically restricted access site requiring the Hooka handler to squeeze in along footpaths, narrow alleys and gateways into a rear garden in central London.

Once there, a further obstacle was encountered as the oversite had already been dug-out to 600mm below ground level ready for the piling team. Working to Plan B, the Hooka team took their Load Spreader Deck along and created a ‘working platform’ above the dig-out area, before transporting and constructing the large box frame consisting of 2x 600kg main beams and their respective 180kg support columns.

Another satisfied customer and risk-free install of heavy steel work completed.
