A slightly different install challenge last week thanks to Steve, Paul and Glenn’s team at Letchworth Steel.
With two 850+ kg steel beams needed to support the removal of neighbouring internal walls within the property, a double width scaffold ‘runner frame’ was set up in the building and two small portal windows were created in the outside wall.
This enabled our operator to track the beams round on the machines umbilical feed transport dolly, before safely lifting and slew-turning the steels in through the wall openings.
The Hooka’s unique ability to lift, transport and post the beams into position end-on, meant a smooth and safe install was completed in just a few hours.
