It was a slightly different call-out for the Hooka team this week, working alongside Craig and Ian from Elm Park Electrical, installing an Electric Vehicle Charger on behalf of BP.
The Hooka’s ability to install infrastructure where there is not enough set-up space for large lorry cranes makes it ideal for working around city centres, in underground car parks, or where there are overhead hazards such as electrical or telephone cables.
On this occasion it was trees in the pub car park creating the obstruction and the first challenge was to secure and then gently lower the existing 260Kg charger, which had been badly damaged and was tilting at precarious angle, having been reversed into by a lorry.
Then it was simply a case of gently transporting and precisely lowering the replacement module directly onto the existing mounting points.
Another install safely and smoothly completed.
