The Steel Beam Lifter team had a hometown installation this week, working in Baldock alongside Paul at JJ Finch Builders.
The 4 beams, weighing up to 450kg, needed to be transported safely up the sloping drive and then along the tight-squeeze, 1.1m wide alleyway.
Once in the back garden, the Hooka, Steel Beam Lifter’s stable track base, allowed the beams to be carried up into the oversite without damaging the DPC walls, before being lifted safely and smoothly up onto their padstones.
Job completed in 5 hours without any manual handling risks, and with just 2 extra men needed on site for a nice early Friday finish!
